| Christmas Glogg - spiced Red Wine - served warm Bottle of Red Wine ( I use a Burgundy-type; not fancy)! Half bottle of Port (if you like your drinks strong, you can also add some vodka - although I never do) Sugar to taste - it's supposed to be sweet. Peel of an orange; three or so peeled Cardamom seeds; stick of Cinnamon; some ginger (powdered works unless you have fresh) and lots of Raisins. Let this all heat well - without boiling - for quite some time. Discard all the spices before serving (except the raisins if you can) - or your drink may turn bitter. Serve re-heated, in small "espresso size cups", with chopped almonds and raisins on the side to add. Remember teaspoons and napkins - and some Swedish Ginger snaps!!!(Recipe to follow).Enjoy! |
