Glenshire

Among one of the more popular family neighborhoods, Glenshire is a subdivision located about 6 miles east of downtown Truckee. If you do not like to shovel snow this is the place to check out. The community has it’s own convenience store, preschool, ballet studio and elementary school, making it ideal for families with younger children.

Glenshire has a homeowners association, a clubhouse, 2 tennis courts, a basketball half court and a swimming pool. It also has equestrian and recreation easements, allowing residents to partake in outdoor activities right outside their back doors. With 1,357 lots, ranging in size from a quarter-acre to one-acre, the subdivision is approaching build out. Homes are served by sewer and natural gas.

Within Glenshire are Cambridge Estates, the Meadows, Juniper Hills and Juniper Creek Ranch, with various larger sized acreage parcels. Boca and Stampede Reservoirs are located close by and attract boating, fishing and water sport enthusiasts. Another draw to Glenshire is its proximity to Reno - about 28 miles, and limited tourist traffic.
